Last year we succeeded in improving our means of commu-
nication with you, our alumni, and the ties that bind us are
now even stronger. This was clearly visible in the enthusias-
tic responses we received from so many of you for the “My
IC Story” and “Alumni Updates” features, the rise in the
number of alumni attending events, and the more than 40%
increase in financial contributions.
The month of June witnessed a packed schedule for the
Office of Alumni and Development. In addition to the annu-
al 25th and 50th reunions, we organized reunions for the
class of 1994, as well as the 20th, 30th, and 40th anniver-
saries of the respective classes of 1984, 1974, and 1964.
The overwhelming success of these gatherings, in terms of
attendance and enthusiasm, encouraged us to turn them
into yearly events. Furthermore, a new Alumni Chapter was
launched in Syria, where a reunion was held for the first
time (see details inside).
As for the financial contributions provided to the school, we
are happy to report an increase in both the financial aid
budget as well as the number of donors to our Annual
Fund. The Annual Fund plays a major role in balancing the
school’s budget, for tuition fees are not sufficient to cover
IC’s annual costs. A generous amount contributed annually
is of great aid in covering students’ as well as the institu-
tion’s needs. We are also convinced that many potential
donors remain unaware of the fact that even the smallest
gifts truly do make a big difference in the lives of IC stu-
dents. Our ambition is to encourage financial contributions
by all alumni, parents, and friends, thereby increasing our
number of donors as well as our yearly contributions. The
result, after all, will be an even better IC.
Thank you for enabling us to remain the best at what we
do…
Best Wishes,
