With the aim of getting IC alumni together and cre-
ating new chapters in various cities of the United
States, Vice President for Alumni and Development
Mr. Moufid Beydoun’64
visited the US twice dur-
ing the past few months.
Mr. Beydoun began in the summer, with a trip to
San Francisco, where he met with a number of
prominent alumni at a dinner hosted by
Mr. Khaled
Nasr ’76
.
Mr. Jibran Jahshan ’82
has volunteered
to help with the alumni chapter in San Francisco.
Next stop: Boston, where
Dr. Usama Hamdan ’71
organized a gathering at his house for 17 alumni,
Dr. Charles, and IC trustee, Tony Jones.
After Boston, came Washington, D.C., where Mr.
Adel Kana’an ’63
, head of the Washington, D.C.
chapter, together with
Dr. Safa Rifka ’64
and Mr.
Wissam Yafi ’87
, organized a lovely dinner at the
Lebanese Taverna, attended by 28 alumni and IC
trustee Matt Reynolds.
During this visit to the US, our Vice President for
Alumni and Development discussed the possibility
of setting up a chapter in Montreal, Canada, with
the help of
Mr. Sleiman Zaroubi ’64
.
