IC Ain Aar welcomed the first
young child of an IC alumna.
Naya, 3, was enrolled in Pe-
tite Section - at this point still
oblivious that her mother ran
around the same halls some
years ago. It was only natural
for Romy Karnaby ’96 to en-
roll Naya at IC. “I loved the
school system here,” she said.
“I feel that IC students are re-
ally distinguished. It’s nice to
be back!”

The turnout to this year’s Miss Torch/Mr
Graduate Pageant and Prom night was
bigger than expected and the largest in
the past five years. Over 320 students
showed up at the Phoenicia Hotel on July
5th eager to dance the night away after
several rough weeks of political turmoil
which hit the country.
Six jurists made up of alumni, mem-
bers of parents’ committee and guests
chose this year’s winners:
Miss Torch 2007: Raya Awad
Mr Graduate 2007: Oliver Muller
Prom Queen 2007: Karma Kabalan
Prom King 2007: Ahmad Ismail
