EDITOR’S NOTE:
I am very pleased this year IC is finalizing plans
for a master plan. When achieved it will pro-
vide greatly enhanced facilities for our students.
But before I continue, let me assure you that
the heart of the campus will not change. It’s the
same – and will always be the same – one that
you fell in love with years ago.
However, there are some plans for some incred-
ible changes including a brand new state-of-
art elementary school, a gymnasium, a visual arts center, covered athletic
courts, a swimming pool, a food court and more. We hope that these will be
achieved in the not too distant future.
The plans include renovations of some existing buildings and extensions will
be added to a few as well; Sage Hall and the preschool. A new traffic system
will allow buses and cars to flow in and out of the campus (in certain areas)
without the usually daily traffic congestion. In this issue, we introduce you to
our vision and show you what the future IC campus will look like.
I certainly hope that you are as excited about these changes as we are. We
will be launching a Capital Campaign – which will fund these wonderful
changes. Our Board members have truly come through and already provided
more than 20 percent of the needed funds.
For the rest of the capital we depend on you: our alumni, our parents and
our friends. Don’t let the political turmoil around us put you down. These
turbulent years are but passing moments in history.
But an investment in our children is an investment in our future.
A new campus is what they – and we – need to help produce the leaders we
so desperately seek.
We thank you for all the support you have given us so far. We look forward
to a brilliant future together.
Best wishes always,
Moufid Beydoun ‘64
