CLASS OF ’90 - ’99
Nada Abdel-Baki Maher ’90
and her husband Hicham are
the proud parents of a baby girl, Neyla Lynn, born in Los
Angeles, CA, on April 25, 2003.
Ramzi Abdine ’90
has been relocated to Brazil. He is still
working as Project Director with Schlumberger’s smart card
division.
Ahmad H. Alwan ’90
graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in
Economics from AUB. In 1999 he received his MBA from
LAU. Today, Ahmad is Senior Dealer Treasury and Capital
Markets at HSBC Bank in Beirut.
Hassan El-Fil ’90
completed his MBA in Loyola University of
Chicago. Hassan married Dina Fawaz in 1998; they are
blessed with two children, Sarah (4) and Aboudy (2). The
happy family is residing in Beirut.
Ziad Hamzeh ’90
and Nina Ghandour ’91 are happy to
announce the birth of their first baby girl, on February 5,
2004.
Sana Naoum ’90
and her husband Dr. Joe Naoum were
blessed with a baby girl, Sophia, on April 13, 2004. The
family of three is residing in Texas, USA.
Sherine Balhawan ’91
is currently working as Group Image
Director at Averda Holding in Beirut. Sherine Balhawan
Bayoud got married and is blessed with a daughter, whom
she named Yasmina.
Jihad Haddad ’91
studied Computer Science and Math. He
works as a system analyst in Copenhagen, Denmark. Jihad
has been married for six years.
Elissar Hajj ’91
and her husband Mazen Zarwi are blessed
with two beautiful children: Maher, who is 3 years old, and
Yara, born on October 16, 2003.
Mohammad Itani ’91
graduated from AUB in 1996 with a
B.E. in Electrical Engineering. He completed his Military
Service in 1997. Mohammad and his wife Amal Sinno live
in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; they have a daughter
whom they named Nahida.
Corine Sakr ’91
and her husband Ahmad Antabli are proud
to announce the birth of their fourth child, a beautiful baby
named Jana. Brothers Omar, Walid and Tarek welcomed
Jana into the world on April 30, 2004.
Serge Avakian ’92
graduated summa cum laude with a
Bachelor of Arts in 1996 from UCLA and later with a law
degree J.D in 1999. He is single, living in West Los
Angeles.
Khaled Bader ’92
received his B.S. and M.S. in Electrical
Engineering magna cum laude at the University of North
Carolina in Charlotte. He is working with Intel Corporation,
where he first led the Methodology and Design Validation
for PXA800F for Intel’s first wireless 3G chip (Manitoba),
later moving to marketing as the Sr. Product Marketing
Engineer for Embedded Intel Architecture High Performance
Server Processor (worldwide).
Ahmad Ismail’ 92
and
Farah Ghannoum’ 94
will celebrate
the 4th birthday of their son Ali on May 2. Their second
child, Ghia, turned 2 on March 18.
Taher Kaissi ’92
spent two years in Saudi Arabia with UPS
Supply Chain Solutions; he has been promoted to Project
Manager for the Middle East Region and re-located to
Dubai.
Hala Refaat ’92
is working at the Inter Continental
Mountain Resort & Spa, Mzaar, Lebanon, as Marketing &
Communication Manager.
Lina Salem ’92
and her husband
Hadi Eid ’91
are the proud
parents of a lovely baby girl they named Tamara, born on
February 17, 2004.
Manal Assaf ’93
and Ali El Husseiny tied the knot on
December 5, 2003 at Safir Heliopolitan Hotel; they are now
living in Los Angeles, California.
Omar Koleilat ’93
received his Architecture degree from
AUB in 1998, followed by an RICS Postgraduate degree in
Property Investment from Reading, United Kingdom. He
now lives in Prague, where he runs his own real estate
development business.
Salah Damer ’94
got married on March 3rd, 2003. He
resides in Lebanon, where he works as a dentist.
Alexander Ghantous ’94
and his wife Chrisie Melanie, are
proud to announce the birth of their first child, a baby boy
Christian Fayez, on August 30, 2003, in Melbourne,
Australia.
Tala Khartabil ’94
received her Master’s in Finance and
Investment at the University of Nottingham (UK). Tala is cur-
rently working as a financial research analyst with the
International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington D.C.
Samih Mawass ’94
and his wife will be living in Paris as of
June 2004. After six years of work in sales and marketing in
the Middle East, Samih is being transferred to Nestle France.
