Joe Rahim ’97
got married on August 10, 2002. Joe is
Assistant Manager of Food & Beverages for a firm in
Bucharest, Romania.
Osama Rinno ’97
is currently stationed in Dubai, where he
took up the position of General Manger in Clarins Group
Middle East.
Abdo Saad ’97
received his B.S. in Chemistry in the year
2000. He then joined the Faculty of Medicine and is expect-
ed to graduate in June 2004.
Randa Shammas ’97
graduated from AUB with a Bachelor’s
degree in mechanical engineering in spring 2001. After her
graduation, she joined an engineering company in the
United Arab Emirates, Petrofac, and has been working there
ever since. Randa works as Project Control Engineer on the
Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey pipeline project for British
Petroleum in Tiblisi, Georgia.
Tarek Chbaklo ’98
received his B.S. in computer science at
LAU, after completing two years in pharmaceutical studies.
Tarek is working two jobs at the same time, co-launched his
own web design company StDesigners, and working as IT
and Service Manager in the family business company
Health Care (Diagnostics & Laboratory Supplies) in
Lebanon.
After graduating from LAU,

joined Leo
Burnett’s Dubai office.
Mariam Halabieh’98
got married to Walid Saridar on
September 20, 2003. They are expecting their first baby.
Mariam graduated from the school of pharmacy in June
2003.

with you the happy news of their engagement last March.
Fuad Philip Saade ’98
will be receiving his B.S. in financial
management in August from Clemson University, South
Carolina.
Rabih Chaar ’99
and
Leila Chebaro ’99
would like to share
with you the happy news of their engagement last April.
Rabih is working at Penn West Petroleum as a production
engineer and pursuing his Master’s in manufacturing engi-
neering at the University of Calgary in Canada. As for Leila,
she is working as a supply planning manager at Procter and
Gamble in Beirut.
Raja Haidar ‘99
would like to share with you the happy
news of his engagement to Zeina Wehbe on April 24, 2004
at the Metropolitan Hotel.
Rami Karam ’99
is currently living in London, where he is
completing his Master’s degree in international finance
while working at Merrill Lynch as a client support operative.
Ali Mansour ’99
received his degree in computer and com-
munication engineering from AUB in June 2003. He is cur-
rently completing his Masters in financial economics, also
at AUB.
Lindy Nassar ’99
graduated in June 2003 from The
University of Liverpool, with a BA (Honors) in Architecture.
She is currently finishing her MS in International Real Estate
at The University of Reading, United Kingdom. Lindy recent-
ly recieved a job offer to work for Drivers Jonas in London;
she will be starting in September 2004.
Anis Zantout ’99
is an LAU Business Computer Graduate.
He has completed his MBA, and is today an IT consultant at
Netways.
Valia Taha ’99
has moved to Dubai, UAE, to work with Al
Khaleejia Advertising as an account executive. Valia
received her Bachelor’s degree in Business from LAU.
CLASS OF ’00 - ’03
Yahia Beydoun ’00
graduated with high distinction from the
University of North Carolina, Charlotte, with a Bachelor’s
Degree in computer engineering. He will continue his grad-
uate studies at the University of Southern California in Los
Angeles.
Daniel Pätz ’00
graduated with a hotel management diplo-
ma and will soon receive his second Bachelor’s degree in
Business Administration.
Roy Baladi ’01
is finishing his third year at Virginia Tech and
will graduate with a double major in computer science and
finance. This summer he will work as an intern for Boeing in
Seattle.
Ayman Jawhar ’01
is currently finishing his Computer and
Communications Engineering (CCE) degree at the American
University of Beirut.
Reza Maktabi ’01
is currently studying International
Business in London
