weds flew to Austria and Spain on their honeymoon, before
returning to Beirut where Walid has resumed work at the
Personnel Department of AUB as IT Manager, while Razan is
working in fashion design and craft-making.
Emile Tabanji ’94
was engaged last August to Samar M.
Majdalani. Emile is working with Impact BBDO in Dubai.
After graduating with honors from AUB with a Bachelor’s degree
in Economics,
Rola Abdel-Latif ’94
joined Bank Audi’s head
office, where she worked as an Economic Analyst. Rola is now
in London working on her Master’s degree in Political Economy
of Development.
Shereen Nabhani ’95
is currently teaching Pharmacy at the
Lebanese American University of Beirut.
Wassim Chehab ’95
obtained his Bachelor’s degree in chem-
istry from AUB. He also holds a Ph.D degree in Biochemistry
and is now working at the University of California, Davis.
Nadine Maktabi ’95
and Hassan Maktabi are proud to
announce the birth of their beautiful baby girl named Karen, born
on June 15, 2003. Nadine and Hassan are currently living in
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia .
Rima Abdel-Latif ’96
graduated with a CCE degree from AUB,
then joined Astroleb Company as a computer programmer.
Cindy Dagher ’96
graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in clini-
cal nutrition from University of California, Davis. She is now
working on her Master’s degree in Public Health at UCLA, along
with an internship at the Children’s Hospital, Los Angeles, in
order to become a registered dietitian. Cindy also got engaged
and is to be married in September 2004.
Nathalie T. Nassar ’96
and Marwan Salameh would like to
share the happy news of their engagement on June 6, 2003 at
the Top 21, Crowne Plaza Hotel. Nathalie is now teaching at
ACS, Grade 1. They plan to marry next July.
Nada Shahira ’96
got married and is now living in Egypt. She
started her Master’s degree at the American University of Cairo
in Professional Development. She is also working at the Human
Resources Department of Shell Co., Egypt.
Karen Karam ’96
graduated fromAUB with a Bachelor’s degree
in Psychology, and is currently in London, working on a fashion
design diploma at Saint Martin’s University.
Joe Rahim ’97
got married on August 10, 2002. He is currently
Assistant Food and Beverage Manager in Bucharest, Romania.
Loulia Mahmassani ’97
is currently in cow-town/hippie-ville pur-
suing two Master’s degrees in the fields of Advertising and Public
Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin.
Abdo Saad ’97
is completing his fourth year of Medicine at AUB.
He also obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry with dis-
tinction fromAUB. He is preparing for his elective clinical rotation
in the United States at Columbia University and is planning
another one, hopefully at Duke University in Durham.
Vida Hamd ’97
is the Branch Manager of Branshare, a publish-
ing and advertising company in Dubai.
Omar Fakhoury ’97
is working at the Millennium Hotel, Abu
Dhabi, as Senior Front Office Supervisor. Omar is looking for-
ward to coming back to Lebanon.
Bouchra Khayat ’98
and Imad Joumaa would like to share the
happy news of their engagement on October 3, 2003.
Maher El Faisal ’98
is working in Saudi Arabia as System
Administrator in Future Pipe Industries, after graduating with a
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a minor in
Journalism from LAU.
Rizk Haddad ’98
is currently living in the UAE and working in
the sales and marketing department of CNBC Arabia, Dubai.
Hadi Ghandour ’99
graduated this year from the University of
Southern California, with a BA in Communication and is current-
ly working with the Middle East Network in Washington, DC.
Farah Daher ’99
graduated from AUB with a Bachelor’s degree
in Business Administration. Farah received a scholarship to go to
Japan and study international marketing at Waseda University.
Carine Hamade ’99
and
Samer Saad ’98
were married on July
31, 2003. The couple had a joyous ceremony at the Phoenicia
InterContinental Hotel, where friends and family were there to cel-
ebrate their union. Samer and Carine are now living in Canada.
Maya Talih ’99
graduated with a Bachelor ‘s degree in Economics
from AUB and is currently working on her Master’s degree in
Development from the London School of Economics.
