Omar Halabieh ’00
graduated at the top of his class (with hon-
ors) in Computer Science from McMaster University, Canada,
this past April. He has started his master’s degree in Math
Scientific Computation at the University of Waterloo, Canada.
Rayan Hammoud ’00
has completed his BS in Business
Marketing at the Lebanese American University and is now
studying for his master’s degree in International Affairs, also
at LAU.
Mira Mikati ’00
was married to Mohamad Ali Bdeir during
the month of August at the Dunes Country Club in Jordan.
Mira now resides in Jordan.
Rasha Rashidi ’00
is studying CCE (Computer and
Communications Engineering) at AUB and will be receiving
her BE in June 2005. Good luck to you, Rasha!
Loubna Al-Amin ’01
has started a PhD program in Political
Science at the University of Indiana in Bloomington, Indiana.
Bassel Al-Assah ’01
graduated with a BS degree in Computer
Science from AUB in June 2004. He is currently purusing his
MS in the same field at Syracuse University in NY.
Malek Dabbous ’01
studied Management Information
Systems at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. Today,
he is in the Exchange Student Program in Vienna, Austria,
where he will remain for a year. “I love IC!” Malek exclaims.
Mohamed Fares ’01
recently moved to the United States to
earn his MS degree in Computer Science at the Illinois
Institute of Technology in Chicago.
Taymour Joumblatt ’01
and
Diana Zeaiter ’01
tied the knot
on July 20, 2004, in Istanbul, Turkey. Diana is now working
in the IT department at IC Ras Beirut. Welcome Back to the
IC Family, Diana!
Noura Maktabi ’01
graduated with distinction in Banking &
Finance from LAU. Noura celebrated her engagement to
international tennis champion Ali Hamadeh on July 1 at the
Phoenicia Intercontinental Hotel. Ali and Noura are now in
the United States preparing to celebrate their marriage with
the presence of family and friends.
Karim Masruah ’01,
a senior student of biology at the AUB,
he took his MCAT exam this August and received competi-
tive scores. He will be applying to the medical school at
AUB for the year 2005-2006.
Osmat Awar ’02
is currently finishing his last term at AUB,
where he is majoring in Business Administration with a
Marketing emphasis.
Sara Mukallid ’02
is in her senior year at AUB, majoring in
Early Elementary Education and working toward a teaching
diploma in Special Education.
Joseph Feghali ’03
is a student at Edinburgh University,
studying for a joint degree in Biology and Management. He
would like to extend special thanks to IC for the solid foun-
dations and life skills, both academic and social, with which
it provided him.
Karma Hamady ’03
is at AUB studying Graphic Design; she
is in her second year and is enjoying it.
Kamal Kayat ’03
is in Florida, where he is a student at
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. In his second year in
Aerospace Engineering, and with a cumulative GPA of 3.8,
Kamal is currently part of a team that is working on an
Automated Transfer Vehicle (ATV) model for research pur-
poses. The ATV is an automatic, unmanned space transport
vehicle which carries cargo and resupply goods from the
Earth to the International Space Station. Kamal is also on the
Red Rope Force, a disaster relief team trained as first respon-
ders to major emergencies and disasters.
Lory Ajamian ’04
is currently studying Mathematics at
McGill in Montreal, Canada.
Rouan Chaaban ’04
is at the Université Saint Joseph (USJ)
doing Marketing (Publicité et Vente).
Nadine Jazouli ’04
is currently at Université Saint Joseph
(USJ) studying for her Bachelor’s degree in Marketing.
Sharif Mekdashi ’04
is studying at York University in
Toronto, Canada. He is majoring in Biology so that he might
later apply to medical school and pursue a career in
Ophthalmology.
