Hadeal Houjaij ’97
has just finished her MA in Strategic
Marketing at Manchester Metropolitan University. She has
now settled in London and is searching for a job. Good
luck, Hadeal!
Rouba Korfali ’97
is living and working in Manchester, in
the UK. She finished her MA in Television Features and
Documentary Production in July 2002, and now works as a
video editor in a company called IFE Services, In-Flight
Entertainment, which provides airplanes of different airlines
with entertainment. Rouba works on Destination Films,
which produces 10 minute documentary features on differ-
ent cities in the world. Rouba has most recently made two
such documentaries, one on the city of Hong Kong, and the
other on Sao Paulo.
Imad Hasbini ’98
has moved from Safat, Kuwait, to Abu
Dhabi, and is working as a Senior Consultant in the
Enterprise Risk Services department for Deloitte.
Maher Mikati ’98
and
Dana Saade ’99
were married on July
10, 2004, at “Les Jardins Du Mzaar” in Faraya. The newly-
weds currently reside in Cyprus.
Ghassan Mroue ’98
is based in Dubai, where he works as
Regional Account Executive for the advertising firm J Walter
Thompson, which markets Lipton as a brand in the Middle
East, North Africa, and Turkey.
After graduating from IC,
Nadine Ardati ’99
moved with her
family to Wellington, New Zealand, where she attended
Victoria University and Auckland University of Technology,
completing a degree in New Zealand Sign Language
Interpreting and Deaf Culture. Nadine is currently complet-
ing a BA in Linguistics. She works as an interpreter for
Workbridge, a government-funded organization that helps
people with disabilities find employment. Nadine is also
working on a research project about Code Switching and
First Language Maintenance in Immigrant Families. She can

Khaled Bashour ’99
has been admitted to a PhD program in
Computer Communication and Information Science at the
École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne in Geneva,
Switzerland.
Ludwig Bouldoukian ’99
received his BA in Management
from AUB, worked for two years with his father at the
Garden Tower Hotel, and had an internship at Le Vendome
Intercontinental—Beirut. Today, he is at the at the Institut de
Management Hotelier International in France. Ludwig is
working on his MBA in International Hospitality
Management, a joint program between Essex and Cornell
University in France.
Joane Chaker ’99
graduated with a BA in Economics and a
minor in History from AUB. Joane has been accepted at the
London School of Economics (LSE) for a master’s degree in
Economics. She lives in London.
Lea Hakim ’99
received the Penrose Award upon her gradu-
ation from AUB with a BA in Economics. She then worked
for Proctor & Gamble as Assistant Brand Manager for the
Levant. Lea was accepted at Yale University on a Fulbright
Scholarship to continue her MA studies in International &
Development Economics.
Rami Karam’99
has been working as an Associate Financial
Advisor at Merrill Lynch in Dubai since April, having com-
pleted his Master’s degree in London. He is now settled in
Dubai and it seems like he will be staying there for a while.
Omar Nassereddine ’99
attended AUB for a while, later
moving to the US to continue his studies. In 2003, he grad-
uated with honors from UCLA in Molecular, Cell and
Developmental Biology. Recently, Omar has been applying
to MBA/PhD programs for the year 2005 and until then will
enjoy—and stress out about—living the life of a self-
employed businessman. “A big shout out to all of the ’99
6th HS grads!” exclaims Omar.
Hala Nsouli ’99
is currently pursuing a Master of Public
Health in Epidemiology at George Washington University in
Washington, D.C.
Rami Ramadan ’99
graduated with distinction from AUB in
2004 with a BE in Mechanical Engineering. He is currently
pursuing a joint masters program between the Institut
Français du Pétrole (IFP) and the University of Oklahoma
(UO). Rami will be graduating in December 2005 with both
a Master’s of Science in Petroleum Economics and
Management from IFP and a Masters of Arts in Managerial
Energy Economics from UO.
CLASS OF ’00 - ’04
Nancy Ammar ’00
graduated from AUB with a BA in
Economics in June 2003, and is now pursuing her master’s
degree in Financial Economics while volunteering as a
researcher at ESCWA.
Ali Chahrour ’00
earned a degree with honorable mention
in the field of Experimental Sciences. Joining AUB, he grad-
uated with a BS in Computer Science and a minor in
Business Administration. Ali recently got engaged to Lana
Khalaf, a graduate of AUB with a BS in Computer Science.
Ali and Lana are pursuing their graduate studies at LAU.
