A brand new laboratory, funded by Occidental Petroleum Cooperation, has been established in the Secondary School and is
now fully functional. Thank you, Dr. Ray Irani ’50, for making it all possible!

Moujabber Mourani was invited to attend a 2-day training ses-
sion in Geneva, Switzerland on December 8-9, 2005.
Following the training Mrs. Mourani will be qualified to serve
on International Baccalaureate visiting teams to determine
whether a school would qualify for authorization as an IB
school. The intensive training session included school leaders
from Europe, Africa and the Middle East. « The International
Baccalaureate is a crucial expression of IC’s commitment to
international education. The principles of the IB diploma and
PYP reflect IC’s mission, and we are proud to be active con-
tributing members of the IBO community, » said Mrs. Mourani
when she returned from Geneva.
at a Glance
From November 7 to 11 IC began the re-accreditation process
by hosting two Preparatory Team visitors. Ms Kay Mongradi,
CIS representative, and Mr. Richard Pacheco, NEASC represen-
tative, joined us for five very full days during which they
explored the school and talked to many members of the IC
community. The committees at IC will soon start working on
the self-study in anticipation of the Team Visit planned for the
spring of 2007.
