The Ras Beirut Parents Committee organized two great
Halloween parties, one for the elementary and one for the
middle school. The students wore creative costumes had a
wonderful time dancing, snacking and generally being
together. President of the IC Parents’ Committee Maha
Shair, on behalf of the committee, thanked all those who
helped make the two evenings such a success. Proceeds
from the event, as well as from other activities planned by
the Parents’ Committee, will be dedicated to support the
school’s plans and projects

PROM NIGHT
Miss Torch and Mr. Graduate Pageant Certain nights will
last forever in the memories of students, especially the com-
bined celebrations of
Prom Night and Miss Torch.
The
special night was held on July 3 at the Habtoor Hotel and
attended by more than 300 students, administrators and
New Year, New Faces
This academic year IC welcomes 33 new teachers coming
to us from the US, Canada, and France as well as Lebanon.
On September 18, all the new teachers, Lebanese and for-
eign hire, along with their mentors participated in an
Orientation session in Imad Taher Auditorium where they
were greeted by the school’s new president Mr. John
Johnson, Senior Vice-President Mrs. Mishka Mourani, the
various school directors, and other administrators. The ses-
sion was designed to familiarize new faculty with the
school and their colleagues. After the short welcome ses-
sion, new teachers toured the Ras Beirut campus with their
mentors and then enjoyed a bus ride to Ain Aar where they
toured the campus and enjoyed a delicious lunch in the
faculty room.
