After two years of work and effort, the Friends
of the Elementary School Committee have kept
their promises. The sound proofing and carpeting of
the playgrounds in the elementary school in Beirut
have been accomplished. Indeed, this committee
was formed to help carry out major improvements
on the premises of the IC Elementary School, Ras-
Beirut. Its purpose was to lift the pressures off the
elementary school children and staff targeting the
creation of a safe, clean, comforting and happy
play environment.
On this occasion, we would like to thank the
Vice President for Alumni and Development , Mr.
Moufid Beydoun, for all his patience, wisdom and
devotion to the cause; Ms. Julia Kozak, Beirut’s
Elementary School Director, for her innovative spirit, kindness and openness; Mrs. Nadine Akkaoui, Mrs. Emma Ghandour,
Mrs. Dina Kaddoura, Mrs. Rima Mousallam, Mrs. Dania Nsouli and Mrs. Maha Shair for their unconditional support and
fundraising. Furthermore, we would like to express our gratitude to all companies, parents and donors who gave a lot to
make this dream come true.
