The El-Khalil family’s belief in the principles and goals of
their Alma Mater inspired three generations to study at IC.
Mr. Anwar El-Khalil
53, his four sons Imad
81, Ziad
81,
Fadi
88, and Naji
88, and his grandchildren Lama
09,
Racha
12, Tala
14, and Yara
19, daughters of Imad El-
Khalil, began their search for knowledge at IC with the
belief that the school offers an education with positive and
profound impact on their growth and character. This belief
proves the exception to Goethe’s adage that “Belief is not
the beginning but the end of all knowledge.” Mr. Anwar’s
success at the national and professional level speaks for
itself. He has held the positions of Chairman and General
Manager of the Arabian Tourist and Real Estate Company,
Chairman and General Manager of Beirut Riyadh Bank
and Chairman of MAK holdings Ltd. At the national level,
he has served his country as a Minister many times. Mr.
El-Khalil was elected Member of Parliament in 1991 and
continues to serve there. Mr. Anwar’s sons have also been
successful: Naji is director of Student Affairs at
Thunderbird University in Arizona and will be returning to
Lebanon soon to join the family business as head of
Human Resources. Fadi is responsible for sales and mar-
keting in the family business and his daughter will be join-
ing IC next year. Ziad, after completing his MBA at the
University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business,
is now CEO of Greyhound Holding, Lebanon and a
Managing Director of SBC, Tanzania. Imad is General
Manager at one of the family’s businesses. He and his
wife Zeina Jaber
87 are the proud parents of four daugh-
ters who are IC students, Lama, Racha, Tala, and Yara.
We wish them the success that their father and grandfa-
ther have enjoyed.
