Omar Bachour ’89
spent seven years in London, where
he completed his MSc in Engineering Geology at the
Imperial College of London. After getting his degree,
Omar stayed in the UK and got a job with a Consultancy
and Services Firm: WS Atkins. He is currently based in
South London, and lives in Brighton on the south coast of
England.
In addition to receiving a post-doctoral fellowship at The
Center for Victims of Torture,
Maria Bakht ’89
has been
accepted to a teaching position at the College of St.
Catherine, where she will be teaching Lifespan
Development at their Minneapolis campus in the
evenings for students who are primarily refugees.
Mona Khattab Khaled ’89
and her husband Dr. Fadl
Khaled would like to announce the birth of their third
baby, Sabine. The happy couple are also parents to
Hisham (6) and Layan (3), both IC students.
CLASS OF ’90 - ’99
Zahi Haidar ’90
is currently a board-certified pediatrician,
and has finished his second year of Neonatology (subspe-
cialty in neonatal intensive care) at the Children's Hospital
at Strong, Rochester, NY. He is also pursuing a master’s
degree in Medical Management at Simon School of
Business, Rochester, NY.
Walid Tabanji ’90
and his wife Nesreen are proud to
announce the birth of their new baby boy, Ramzi, on
October 25, 2005.
Dr. Moussa Yazbeck ’90
is currently in private practice
in Arkansas. Moussa is married and has two lovely chil-
dren, Fouad and Sarah. Dr. Yazbeck would like to hear
from his classmates, and can be reached at

Mohammad Badreddine ’92
would like to announce his
marriage to Yasmine Dada. The newlyweds celebrated
their wedding on July 14 in BIEL, with many family and
friends in attendance. The happy couple now resides in
Jeddah, KSA.
Nisrine Ghazal Sabbagh ’92
is married to Ali Sabbagh.
They have a two year-old daughter named Lia. The
Sabbagh family resides in Dubai, where Nisrine works at
Showtime’s main office.
Arij Kaissi Hout ’92
and her husband Ghassan are happy
to announce the birth of their second child, Ziad, on May
30, 2005 in Dubai, UAE; Ziad is the younger brother of
Layan (4).
Ahmad Ismail ’92
and Farah Ghannoum ’94 are living in
Lebanon, and are the proud parents of Ghia (3) and Ali
(4), both IC students.
Manal Assaf ’93
and her husband Ali El Husseiny were
blessed with a baby boy, Zachary, born on March 21,
2005, in Los Angeles, California.
Bassem El Bawab ’93
would like to inform his classmates
that he and wife Ghina Sinno are the proud parents of
girls Razan (2) and Layan (1). Bassem received his doc-
torate in Business Administration from the University of
Northwest, and is still working in the family business,
Rafic Bawab & co.
Maha Tannir Hout ’93
and her husband Ibrahim Hout
proudly announce the birth of their third baby, a girl they
named Stephanie, born on June 6, 2005. The happy cou-
ple is also blessed Issam (4) and Celine (2). Maha is now
working in Banque de la Méditeranee as a supervisor in
the Human Resource Division, while Ibrahim works as an
architect.
Mohamad Sidani ’93
received his bachelors’ degree in
Economics in 1996 from AUB. He then pursued his MBA
at LAU and graduated in 2000. He joined BLOM Bank in
1998. This year Mohamad was assigned as Manager of
Istiklal Branch.
Fatima Hussein Yamout ’93
moved to Dubai, UAE, on
August 30 for the position of consultant manager at
Alraya Advocates & Legal consultants office, newly
formed through a partnership between two leading
lawyers from Lebanon and an attorney from the UAE.
Rawia Kraytem Baalbaki ’94
and
Karim Baalbaki ’94
are
pleased to announce the birth of their first daughter, Alia,
at Trad Hospital in Beirut on October 20, 2005. Alia is a
true IC breed with a grandfather; three uncles, two aunts
and both mother and father IC alumni!
Samar Rahhal ’94
and Khalil Diab celebrated their wed-
ding day on September 9, 2005, at the Mövenpick Hotel,
surrounded by family and friends.
Emile Tabanji ’94
married Samar Majdalani on July 2 in
St George Cathedral, Place de l’Etoile; the newlyweds
reside in Dubai, UAE.
Bassem Tannir ’94
is currently working at the Georgia
Regional Transportation Authority in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
He is a consultant engineer, supervising the work of contrac-
tors for the state of Georgia. Bassem expects to receive his
MBA in a few months from the Georgia State University in
Atlanta. Bassem is planning on pursuing his PhD in
Structural Engineering from either the University of California
in San Diego or the Georgia Institute of Technology in
Atlanta. He has already been accepted by both.
After graduating from LAU with a BS in Hotel
